The gaming industry has taken another step towards the "cloud gaming era". On August 2nd, Tencent Cloud released the "Tencent Cloud · Cloud Gaming Solution" at the "Global Gaming Industry Summit" of 2019 ChinaJoy, providing one-stop cloud gaming solutions for global game developers and platforms.

Yang Yu, the person in charge of Tencent Cloud's cloud gaming solution, demonstrated the gameplay of "Sword of Destiny" in cloud gaming mode on the spot: You can directly enter the game by opening the browser. Under high-definition graphics, the protagonist's actions such as running, jumping, and performing ultimate moves are all smooth and without lag, and the experience is no different from downloading it to your local device for trial play. In the traditional mode, the download package of "Sword of Destiny" reaches 17GB, and at a download speed of 2MB per second, it takes two hours. Moreover, after installation, it weighs 32.4G and occupies a relatively large amount of memory.

In the cloud gaming mode, players can also "switch seamlessly across multiple devices". Both a computer and a mobile phone were placed at the demonstration site. Players could freely switch between different devices to enjoy the game without interruption. Because the game process is stored in the cloud, in the future, when players play games at home on a computer, they can still continue the plot on the computer with their mobile phones when they go out.
